Just take it… The correct answer is 1. Qxc7!, and a Black rook has been taken. Black cannot play 1… Qxc7 because he will be checkmated in the following way: 2. Re8+ Rxe8 3. Rxe8# 1-0. This combination is based on the mate threat.
