1. Rh6+ Kxh6 2. Nf7+ Kg6 3. Nxd6
If Black takes the rook after 1. Rh6+, he will be attacked with the knight fork 2. Nf7+. But Black has to take the rook; otherwise, he will lose the queen for nothing. This is a typical chess combination. Sacrifice and fork.

1. Qa8+ Kd6 2. Qxe4
By moving 1. Qa8+, White conducts typical skewer combination. The skewer combination is very similar to the pin. But under the skewer combination, the more valuable chess piece of the opponent is first in line.
