1. e7+ Qxe7 2. Qh8#
White plays 1. e7+, and Black has to take the pawn with 1… Qxe7 because it is the only legal move for Black. Now, the square e7 is blocked for the Black king with its own queen… On the second move, White mates with 2. Qh8#.

White plays 1. Qf8+, and Black has to move a bishop on g8 because it is the only legal move for Black. Now, the square g8 is blocked for the Black king with its own bishop… Pay attention to the very strong White move 2. Qf6+!
