Solution to Puzzle 58  1. Nxf6# See above another chess position to learn the next checkmate pattern – the knight to mate… Black were not in time to hide and secure his knight by making the Castling Move, and the king is vulnerable to attacks. The White rook on d7 is attacking d8 and e7, and the Black king has nowhere to move. To mate, the knight of White takes the Black pawn on f6 with the final attack.
